TX: Sex-offenders not allowed in San Antonio city parks anymore

SAN ANTONIO — The new San Antonio law that bans people who have been convicted of sex offenses from enjoying city-owned facilities went into effect Saturday.  The law prohibits sex-offenders from entering any land operated, or managed, by the city, including: parks, trails and natural areas. Cemeteries and golf courses are not included in the ordinance.

Woodlawn Lake is a favorite west-side destination and the site of the city’s largest Fourth of July party. On Saturday, it was home to Bark in the Park, with families and children scattered throughout the grounds. Article & Video

Unfortunately, Texas is headed the wrong way down the tracks of justice. At a time when judges and legislators in California are waking up to the fact that presence restrictions violate the Constitution, Texans are falling asleep. It is great that the national RSOL conference will be held in Texas this year. Perhaps we can help them wake up!

Ordinance should be in print on what its really …(texas don’t need no stinkin civil rights/constitution (all other convicted crimes are welcome (human rights..?..foundation of laws ..?? .not in this ordinance and others similar.
